Yes, I Was Serious

I am known for being direct and telling it straight.

Design projects can have a gloss around them, a feel of glamour as you look at published images with professional lighting on social media.

That glow is not the reality of the details and the decisions required to bring the design to reality. It also hides the amount of time required to execute the plan.

I was serious when I told you that the project will take longer than the contractor said it will take. I was serious when I said that items can be damaged in shipping. I was serious when I said that you will need to choose between achieving all of your goals and staying on budget. I was serious when I said that everyone in the industry is stretched very thin and that a little bit of patience can result in an enormous amount of goodwill.

Most importantly, I was serious when I said that we will address each concern and create solutions to challenges. With the right mindset and good planning, the project does not have to overwhelm you.
